I am starting a blog, that will be written in haiku-type entries, with photos from the road, detailing the good, bad and ugly for RoadTrip2010.

tonight

we had our pre-road trip meeting

nearly every piece of our team were there

our agency, Alliance Agency

digital, PR, management, strategy

insane what 9 people are doing

to make this a reality.

we are embarking on a 45 city tour

an advance team booking PR and locations

a small events team booking insane events, promoting them

it is a true whirwind.

when i think back to first fantasizing about this

my thought was:

“I wonder if I could get a brand

to back my PR efforts

so that I can go out on the road

like I’m running for President

and meet the tens of thousands of people

that watch my show each week.

I wonder if… no, that will never work.”

everyone told me i was crazy.

then i called FRS Energy, Lance Armstrong’s company

I said I wanted to meet my fans

and I wanted to do it with them.

They said Yes.

Miracle happen.

we’re set to build 15 schools in southeast asia

and contribute hundreds of thousands to Livestrong.

we are meeting the road team in St Louis tomorrow

getting the bus

and on the road we go

i have no clue if anyone will show up at our events

i’m nervous and anticipating it

everyone is working so hard.

whenever i get anxious

i close my eyes

and tell myself to let go.

anytime i find myself complain

i quickly remember of the “JAKE” 3 years ago

and how that guy, who was begging for money

from advertisers

would KILL to be the “JAKE” today.

i give gratitude for my challenges

and release anxiety.

i hope that derek fisher will come out with us

i look forward to meeting J.Cole on the music tour

it’s all such a dream
