In a lengthy article that compares Late Night Republic’s success to Malcolm Gladwell’s “Tipping Point” model, Young Money Magazine describes the leadership team and philosophies behind the show.
Jake Sasseville, host of TV’s “Late Night Republic,” released the following statement today in response to media inquiries about Monday’s incident during a live radio broadcast:
“I regret any inconvenience I may have caused Rainn Wilson and his son by phoning their home early Monday morning while co-hosting the Q Morning Show. Rainn and I were friends, and my intent was to interview Rainn about the new book based off of his web site. I hope that Monday’s actions do not affect our friendship in the long term.
“I also want to make clear that this incident should not tarnish the professionalism of the Q Morning Show hosts. The responsibility for Rainn’s discomfort lies with me and me alone.”
Several viewers have asked for the audio clip of the on-air incident between Jake Sasseville and Rainn Wilson from The Office on Monday morning.
The backstory: The hosts of the Q Morning Show on WJBQ in Portland, Maine, were some of Jake’s earliest fans. He first appeared on the show nearly 10 years ago. Jake is in Maine for a few days this week and co-hosted Monday’s Q Morning Show. He thought he would call his friend Rainn Wilson, and it didn’t go so well. (While it was 8:30 a.m. Eastern time, it was only 5:30 a.m. Pacific.)
UPDATE: Jake released a statement about the incident on Wednesday. Read.

Pringles Xtreme and Jake Sasseville teamed up to break a Guinness World Record® for the “Largest Can Drum Ensemble,” using Pringles Xtreme cans during the Pringles Xtreme Campus Tour at Central Michigan University (CMU). For this attempt, Jake asked students at CMU to help him shatter this world record for the largest can drum ensemble with a noise so loud it could be heard across the country!
Members from the Campus Tour Staff handed out free cans of Pringles Xtreme for students to use to break the record and Jake asked students to raise their cans and drum as loud as they could to build momentum and excitement before the scheduled We The Kings concert.
Pringles Xtreme is the proud Title Sponsor of the Pringles Xtreme Campus Tour, during which Jake will hit the road this fall with We The Kings and J. Cole, visiting 18 campuses across the country. Visit http://www.latenightrepublic.com/campustour/ for a full list of tour stops.
